It’s been quite the January! Ups, downs, and everything in between. Through all these swings, there are the photos – proof of who we were, what we did. Clues to our hearts. It’s definitely not always a good picture, but it is our picture.
It was chilly here and we spent a lot of time inside, so I decided to focus on lifestyle photography, with a few fun exercises thrown in for a break. If you aren’t familiar with the term, lifestyle photography is pretty much you being you, with maybe a few prompts to get the action started. It’s a great way to capture this all too fleeting and precious time we have together.
If you are thinking, what about the low light inside? Low light, shmo light, don’t let that stop you. Crank that ISO up – maybe start at 1200 and set your shutter speed to 125 and play around with what aperture settings you can pull off. Even if your images are a little grainy, that’s ok, you’ve got them! Plus, I like to think that just looks like old school film photos which fits with the genre.
If you have any questions about lifestyle photography or shooting in low light, shoot me a note or post here.
